27.4" x 18.5" Vintage Canadian Airlines International advertising poster for their service to Los Angeles. Colour illustration by artist Taka shows female bicyclist passing fancy car and man in white cowboy hat. Illustration measures 17.6" x 17.8". Average wear. Small piece of clear tape to top and bottom left corners. Slight bit of loss to top edge at left corner. A lovely memento of Canadian Airlines and its Los Angeles service. Will be shipped in a sturdy mailing tube. Similar posters for other Canadian Airlines destinations available. Poster
Appears unread. No marks or inscription to contentss. No creasing to covers. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, very minor traces of storage and no bumping to corners. Unpaginated. ca 300pp. Very similar to the British Humber Mk.IV armoured car, the Fox was manufactured by General Motors of Canada. It was armed with a .50 and .30 cal machine gun in a hand-cranked turret. It saw limited duty in the Italian theatre, reconnaissance and escort units in northern Europe opted for M3A3 Stuarts, as well as Staghound and Daimler armoured cars. 1506 Foxes were manufactured in total. This manual covers every detail of the vehicle, and includes stowage diagrams. Document originally published in 1942. Scarce.
