Godfrey Thomas Vigne 1801 1863 English traveller author of A Personal Narrative of a Visit to Ghuzni Kabul and Afghanistan and of a Residence at the Court of Dost Mohamed: with Notices of Runjit Sing Khiva and the Russian Expedition. In the RGS Journal Vigne contributed Outline of a Route Through the Panj-áb Kábul Kashmír and into Little Tibet in the Years 1834-8. In his letter Vigned writes of the autograph: It was written in my presence and at my request by Ahmed Shah King or Gylfo of Little Tibet upon my taking leave of him to return to Kashmir & the Panjab after my first visit to him I so I believe having been the 1st European that had ever penetrated into that country Little Tibet. unknown
