In 8, pp. 248. Intonso. Br. ed. con piccole manc. Edizione originale non comune di questa relazione di viaggio a Ceylon, Singapore, Giava. Solimbergo, nato nel 1846, dopo essersi laureato giovanissimo in legge a Padova, inizia la pratica forense in un prestigioso studio di Firenze. Nel 1875 Giuseppe Solimbergo viene invitato dal Ministero degli Esteri a parteciparea questa missione in Indocina (quando ancora quella regione si chiamava Cocincina, e la Thailandia era ancora il favoloso Siam) ed in Malesia (che ancora si chiamava Penisola Malacca).La nave che porto' quella spedizione laggiu', spingendosi fino all?isola di Sumatra, faceva parte della flotta Rubattino e Giuseppe Solimbergo fu l??istoriografo? di quella spedizione
