Book has been re-bound by the library in to strong, heavy green cloth boards that show small tears at lower corners, but little else. Interior is very very clean and bright with very heavy paper with sharp corners. The forty 4-color full page plates illustrate approximately 600 examples of ornamental designs from Ancient Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Persia, Bokhara, Samarkand, Chinese Turkestan, Persia, India, Siam, China, Japan; and from those of the Tartars, the Siberian peoples, the Lapps, the Kirghiz, the Turcomans and the peoples of the Pamir plateau.
