Dorso a 5 nervi con titolo e ricchi fregi ai tasselli (cerniera del piatto anteriore lenta e strofinature ai piatti).Tagli spruzzati in rosso. Prima edizione assai rara di questo celebre viaggio immaginario nel quale l'autore parte dall'olanda per dirigersi in Groenlandia e da qui entrare nelle profondità della terra per poi riapparire dal parte opposta della terra. L'opera si inserisce nel filone dei viaggi immaginari e delle descrizioni utopistiche. La prima edizione di quest'opera uscì nel 1721 anche se con sole 3 tavole e con testo leggermente differente rispetto alle edizioni succesive. Questa del 1723 è la seconda, stampata da Amaulry anche se con lo stesso anno se ne trovano anche con altre intestazioni di stampatori. Tutte le prime tre edizioni 1721-1723-1724 sono assai rare. Una leggera e assolutamente non fastidiosa gora nel margine basso bianco da pagina 135 a 138 e per il resto, all'interno, in buone-ottime condizioni di conservaizone.
