Among subjects discussed include a brief history of exploration and mapping, topography, vegetation, the valley-system, and coastal plateau. Accompanied by diagrams showing Dusky and Breaksea Sounds, Milford Sound, and Tutoko Peak, plus spectacular photographs, some depicting Homer's Saddle, Hall Arm in Doubtful Sound, Grave Talbot Pass, and Hollyford Valley.
