WWII era cartoon that ran on Mother's Day showing the phantom of a soldier who is leaning over the back of his mother's chair as she reads a letter from boot camp. With pencil sketch on verso. Cy Hungerford 1888-1983 was a well known editorial cartoonist for the Post-Gazette in Pittsburgh who did daily cartoons for the paper between 1927 and 1977. unknown
