Broadside advertising a steamship cruise offered by Price Tours from Key West to Havana during Carnival with additional sightseeing itineraries available once on the island. The cruise is a five-day all expenses included trip for the reasonable price of $38.50 with four nights in Havana and the option to add a driving tour across the island seeing Cuba from coast to coast. Attractive poster designed by Cuban artist Rafael Enríquez Vega b.1947 calling for an international day of solidarity with the people of Cuba. Five issues all but the last with their original wraps bound in one volume leather-backed marbled paper over boards -- a bit scuffed and bumped along the edges. Includes: Ano I. No. 1; Febrero 15 1931 / Ano I. No. 2; Febrero 22 1931 / Ano I. No. 3; Marzo 1 1931 / Ano I. No. 4; Marzo 8 1931 / Ano I. No. 5; Marzo 15 1931. The last issue No. 5. does not have the original front cover otherwise all original illustrated wraps are present. All a bit browned as expected and brittle with the occasional small marginal tear but perfectly good reading copies complete and nicely preserving the text illustrations sheet music and ads. Santa Clara bookseller's ticket on front paste-down. A wonderful and uncommon look at Cuba. <br/><br/> hardcover

Cover art by editor and famed Cuban caricaturist Conrado Massaguer. A rare and early section of the publication. A fascinating glimpse into Cuba at this time. Filled with great period art and advertisements black and white photographs and articles. Some scattered foxing 1st cover of 6 much worse than the others staining and wear varies from issue to issue. Bound together in period cloth with floral pattern worn. <br/><br/> hardcover
1905105099<p>Four postcards approximately 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" with stamps. Some writing on image side post marked some aging and browning edges slightly bumped; otherwise very good. This collection of four postcards from Cuba are postmarked stamped and written out. The authors are Anna and Nestor although in one card the author is less clear to a Miss K. Greve. Who lived in the upper West side of New York City. One card features Baby New Year for 1907 and has some color; the other three show La Catedral a promenade and what appears to me some kind of American monument. </p> books

Items include: One forty page brochure in decorated and printed card stock wrappers "CUBA The Pearl of the Antilles" with 16 itineraries and copious pictorial advertisements; two contemporary color picture postcards unused; small brochure folded to make four pages offering visits to "Algibe" Farm the "most typical Cuban Farm in the vicinity of Havana" where you are invited to see how crops are grown attend "Thrilling Cock-Fights at all hours" and "Royal Palm Climbing Exhibitions." Finally a fan-folded invitation to "Buy where Cubans buy" at La Isla de Cuba with an accompanying map 21 x 14 in. dated 1928 of the entire downtown Havana shopping district folded into twelve 7 x 3.75 in. panels with breaks at folds see photo.
