Original wrappers stapled as issued: covers with color reproductions of bindings inside wrappers are b/w illustrations and text. Slight shelf wear but a neat copy. NOT ex-library! The slight size of this book does not reflect the significance of the information presented herein some of which is not available elsewhere. Craig a leading authority on the history of Irish bookbinding reproduces in color a surprising number of Irish specimens from the 17th to the early 19th century: bookbinders' workshops are identified as are the bindings under consideration and their present locations. ¶ Still an essential reference tool: we would not be offering this copy had we not another one on our shelves already.
