Each of the calendars comprises twelve A4 sheets with black and white photographs of Maltese views and scenes and a pictorial front sheet tied with a cord at the top edge. The photographs are different in each.The calendar for 1952 has what look like oil spots to the last three sheets otherwise both are near fine. Scarce. The Government of Malta, Valletta. unknown

Amsterdam Jan Janssen 1645 4to. full parchment spitsel binding with remnants of green closure ribbons red sprinkled edges handwritten title on spine 12370856 pp. Including the second part entitled: "Tweede Deel des Nederlnadtschen Herauld: ofte korte beteeckeninghe der Konst-Woorden ende Formulen van spreecken in Herauldie door den selben Autheur Thomas de Rouck." With two ownership signatures on the endpapers: F. Domis 1663 M.G. Sprong 1688. A printed page is inserted between page 332 and 333 erroneously numbered 133 with notes by about this section 2008. Stained parchment the bookblock has some waterstains but otherwise clean pages. The construction of the book is solid. The back cover has been chewed on by a rodant front edge back cover. Page 257 is loose. With a woodcut printer's mark on the titlepage and lovely woodcut decorative initials there are many woodcut illustration to depict several coats of arms also many empty heraldic shield and 6 engravings depicting the official wardobe of some orders. Between pages 152-153 there is a feather. First edition of De Rouck's work on heraldry of which two more editions would be published in 1671 en 1673 but with different titles. It is the oldest and only Dutch work on heraldry until the mid nineteenth century. De Rouck developed a hatching system to convey heraldic colors in print. A table of this hatching system is found on page 55 of the second part. 2. Liege Guillaume Henry Streel 1680 4to. full parchment spitsel binding with red sprinkled edges 24416 pp. stained parchment on the inside of the front cover the endpaper has come loose exposing the parchment strips that have been used to sew the signatures on this concerns reused parchment with old writings visible in Dutch: macculatuur there is some sign of worming the endpapers are ruffled the pages of the bookblock are clean and in mostly in good condition. In the back of the book the last section has been nibbled on by insects problably silverfish. There are lovely woodcut decorative initials and head and tail pieces throughout the book. unknown

Ponzio, insegnò dal 1687 al 1720 nel Collegio Urbano de propaganda fide. Chiamato alla cattedra di teologia dogmatica dell'università di Torino rinnovata da Vittorio Amedeo, giunse nella capitale subalpina nel 1720 con i suoi duemila libri, per sistemare i quali subito chiese un alloggio migliore di quello che gli era stato assegnato. Iniziò i suoi corsi il 2 nov. 1720 e, ottenuto anche il titolo di abate di S.
