Nell'angolo in alto a destra particolare del porto di Huahine al tempo Owharre, mentre nell'angolo in basso a sinistra sono rappresentati in dettaglio i porti dell'isola Raiatea: Opoa e l'antico Ohamaneno. Janeau (1859-1944) was a picpucien missionary in French Polynesia. Illustrated with several small and very dramatic wood engravings. Printed on very good wove paper. Small 8vo. Bound in original cloth-backed boards. Decorative endpapers. Boards a bit worn, but still structurally solid. Internally FINE AND BRIGHT, with no defects. EXTREMELY RARE: WorldCat locates only four copies, one at Yale and three in the South Pacific (Oceania and Hawaii).
