The 'Leipziger Illustrirte Zeitung' (not to be confused with the 'Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung') was one of Germany's most prestigious weekly news magazines and also one of its most expensive. It was a lavishly printed, large sized, glossy papered publication, quite often with large-sized color reproductions of paintings, watercolors and illustrations, It was about 8 to 10 times more costly than other illustrated magazines of the era. We have here a lively and informative pictorial record that documents the world of the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, etc.) barely five years before World War One. Great content and illustrations. The advertisements (including some in color) are especially striking. SCARCE. **PRICE JUST REDUCED! WWI 11
