It is a compilation of a series of notes made on a trip which originally was planned as a vacation. This book the author states was written for pleasure and hopefully read for pleasure. Most of the material was first published as a series of letters in "The Kansas City Star". A very good copy bound in red cloth centrally stamped in gilt with lettering gilt staining to lower corner of upper board previous owner's inscription. shelf number in ink to spine two very tiny nicks to edge of upper board. Richard Lightburn Sutton 1878 - 1852 was an American big game hunter fisherman and medical doctor who was also the author of several books. This book contains 115 illustrations that accompany the text which describes a hunt he took in Vietnam and India. Original red cloth publisher's covers with gilt spine and cover lettering. There is a neat previous owner's name on the front free end paper else this is a nice clean tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings no previous owner names and no bookplates.
