Ero pienamente consapevole dell'impermanenza della carta e ho scelto quei muri che potevano serbare le tracce del tempo. Ero ossessionata dal desiderio di "sentirli" e di conoscere la città"; al tatto toccandola. Le crepe e le macchie su quei muri assomigliavano ad alcuni paesaggi sott'acqua o manoscritti di una civiltà sconosciuta o a messaggi per il futuro.
