Born in 1849 to immigrant parents from Germany his story begins with his life growing up in Texas living life during the civil war and yellow fever and his travels to New York by way of Mexico. He has written of his interesting experiences which all happened under the age of 15. Bound in light brown cloth spine lettering black some finger soiling upper edge of rear board with staining.
