19126890Paris: Librairie Ch. Delagrave 1912. Forty-seven folding maps each 21.5 x 11 cm. folded; 43 x 112 cm. unfolded in bi-fold printed card stock covers. Second printing in third printing wrappers. Edition and date information from "Les Anciens Cartes Michelin". The first Michelin maps to be published were of course of France and they appeared in 1910. The original format at a scale of 1:200000 remained in place until 1924 when the format was enlarged to 11.5 x 25 cm. and the wrappers printed in blue and orange. The maps show roads road numbers railways prefectures towns monuments and other details-verso front cover. Includes locations and index maps on cover as well as insets on some sheets. Each sheet is named and numbered individually. Some wear to edges some wrappers worn a bit at the fold but overall in remarkable condition. Very good. Rare to be found complete in all early printings. OCLC locates one complete set of an unspecified early printing Harvard Map Collection; other early listings Bayerische Staatsbibliothek Columbia Bibliotheque Nationale appear to be incomplete sets.
