The high school year book of A Raisin in the Sun author Lorraine Hansberry pictured on page 36 and inscribed by her "Good Luck & Best Wishes" with an arrow pointing to her printed name. Hansberry also appears on page 105 in a group portrait of the school's debate forum. Another nationally known author appearing in these pages is Sam Greenlee on page 55; he has not signed this yearbook. <p>Bound in publisher's original padded leatherette embossed pictorial cloth stamped in gilt. Very Good with wear to extremities three vertical lines to the rear cover lightly soiled light foxing to textblock edge. Tear to bottom gutter at rear Autographs page. Additionally signed throughout by many classmates. Owner's name William Sharp to title page and front pastedown. <p>Although she does not appear here in the rolls of the school's drama club Hansberry was just 11 years away from being the first Black woman to have a play produced on Broadway. She died tragically young at age 34 of pancreatic cancer; items signed by her are scarce. Engelwood High School unknown
