In-8, broché sous couture, 12 p., non rogné. Intéressant pamphlet politique radical, violemment critique vis-à-vis du pouvoir royal, réplique à une "Instruction pastorale sur l'obéissance due aux souverains" de Le Franc de Pompignan. L'auteur, originaire du Dauphiné, signe "Michel Blanchard, magister [i.e. maître d'école] du village de Moivieux, le 8 août 1788". Il rejette "l'obéissance aveugle" imposée aux fidèles par l'Instruction pastorale et s'élève contre l'instrumentalisation des Ecritures en faveur de la soumission à un "pouvoir" monarchique jugé illégitime. Il dénonce l'absolutisme, la politique fiscale catastrophique qui règne sur son village comme dans sa région et, plus largement, défend un projet politique "incompatible avec l'absolutisme royal": "les peuples existaient nécessairement avant les rois" (p. 9). Jean Egret ("Le Parlement et la révolution dauphinoise", Grenoble, 1942, p. 303) attribue ce pamphlet "à l'avocat consistorial Meyer". (Maignien, 'Bibliographie du Dauphiné pendant la Rév. The work is a collection of verses inspired to historical happenings of house with thousands of illustrations in the text and more than 50 black and white and coloured planches showing portraits, genealogical trees, coins, plants, monuments, views and documents. At the beginning history of Savoy House, then description of all the Kings from the first King Umberto I Biancamano to Vittorio Emanuele III. For each one rich illustrative collection, history and verses. Very beautiful cloth editorial with golden title and embossed decorations in the plates. Work complete of all pages. In fair conditions. Full cloth cover with golden title and embossed decorations in the plates in fair general conditions slightly worn in the edges and spine. Binding in fair conditions with crack in the first page of text. Inside pages are in good conditions with occasional foxings and some little tears in the pages.

Traité de Paix entre Louis XIV et Victor Amédée de Savoie.Par la paix de Turin, la France restitue à Amédée de Savoie son duché, Nice et Villefranche, la forteresse de Pignerol et lui cède Casal. En outre, la nouvelle alliance est renforcée par le mariage de Louis de France, duc de Bourgogne et Marie Adelaïde de Savoie.
In-8, broché, 36 p. Edition originale publiée anonymement par Barnave, alors jeune avocat. Dans le contexte de la fronde parlementaire, l'auteur se livre à une violente charge contre les "édits de mai" qui visaient à annuler les pouvoirs des parlements et alourdir la fiscalité. Il y sonne le ralliement, autour des Parlements, de toutes les classes de la société "en attendant les Etats généraux". "De Grenoble, ce pamphlet se répandit dans toute la France, il y propagea les mêmes idées d'indépendance et de liberté qui avaient déjà fait tant de progrès en Dauphiné, et qui ne devait pas tarder à y produire de graves événements" (Barnave, 'Œuvres', I, p. 22-23). De fait quelques semaines plus tard, le 7 juin 1788, éclatait à Grenoble une émeute connue sous le nom de "journée des Tuiles" au cours de laquelle les insurgés grenoblois affrontèrent violemment la troupe. Prélude à la Révolution, cette première insurrection contre l'autorité royale, provoquera la réunion des états généraux du Dauphiné et conduira Brienne à organiser les Etats généraux à Versailles moins de dix mois plus tard. Auréolé de la jeune gloire acquise lors de ces événements, Barnave sera élu maire de Grenoble et deviendra président de l'Assemblée constituante. (Martin & Walter, 1742. Pris sous la pression de la rue et des éléments les plus radicaux du mouvement révolutionnaire, le 'Tableau du maximum' est l’aboutissement et la réalisation du projet égalitaire des “Enragés”, des hébertistes et d’un petit groupe de conventionnels autour de Robespierre et de Saint-Just. Il visait à instaurer un dirigisme strict en matière économique, qui incluait également le contrôle des salaires. L'opera è formata da cinque tomi ed è completa sebbene risultino mancanti nel tomo secondo le pagine dalla 801 alla 832, nel tomo terzo dalla 65 alla 72. Risulta mancante la planche 25 del tomo secondo e la planche 25 del tomo quarto. Scritto in forma di romanzo storico Corelli descrive la storia di Casa Savoia a partire da Berengario II sino alle lotte risorgimentali e l'unità d'Italia del 1861. Presente anche una parte sul 1862 (Il Ministero Rattazzi Aspromonte) e gli anni 1862-63-64 (Ministero Farini Minghetti. Convenzione italo-franca). All'interno sono presenti 120 bellissime incisioni su acciaio disegnate da Masutti ed eseguite da Gandini, Buccinelli, Clerici, Santamarin, Caretti, Parmiani che mostra scene e ritratti tra cui Garibaldi, Conte di Cavour, Vittorio Emanuele II, Francesco II ecc.. In buone condizioni. Copertina in mezza tela con titolo in oro al dorso in ottime condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni tranne le pagine dalla 719 alla 721 nel tomo primo in parte staccate. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con fioriture e qualche brunitura. Pages from 801 until 832 and planche 25 of tome II, from 65 until 72 in tome III, planche 25 in tome IV are missing. Tome II: First title page partially restored with stains. Tome III: Planche IV cut. Some planches have some humidity stains and the binder did not bound them in the correct way as indicated by editor.

Né à Taninges, d'origine assez humble, il avait appris la typographie à Lyon avant de s'installer comme libraire et imprimeur à Chambéry. "Jean Lullin et son fils, affirment Dufour et Rabut, firent mieux que leurs contemporains... les produits de leur atelier... sont composés avec soin... bon goût dans l'arrangement des titres, une grand correction et l'emploi de bon papier. Sa Notice... est un recueil utile aux travailleurs de cette époque et consulté encore aujourd'hui

(mm. 183x112), affascinante legatura in p. marocchino blu, sottili cornici dorate e decorazioni di foglie ai quattro angoli con, al centro del piatto anteriore, due comici personaggi intarsiati a colori (bianco rosso verde e argento) e la scritta “If I can wheedle a knife or needle why not a silver churn?” e a quello posteriore un giullare a colori ocra e verde con in mano una pillola dorata e la frase “For he who’d make his fellow-creatures wise should always gild the philosophic pill!” - firmata “Bound by Riviere & Son“ al risguardo con preziosa dentelle dorata, tagli pure in oro, in astuccio. Il volume, di pp. (6),698, raccoglie il gruppo completo di tredici operette scritte da Gilbert & Sullivan e così chiamate perchè venivano messe in scena al Savoy Theatre di Londra. La Legatoria Riviere fu una delle più importanti del West End londinese dove operò fra il 1840 e il 1939. Le loro superbe legature erano molto apprezzate dai bibliofili per la qualità e l’attenzione al dettaglio e ricevettero commissioni anche dalla Regina Vittoria e dalla famiglia reale. La dicitura “Riviere & Son” apparve a partire dal 1880 quando Robert Rivière passò la sua attività al genero Percival Calkin. Esemplare in perfetto stato.
