Ce qui forme un État, ce sont les hommes et le terrain (...). Servan conseille d'employer les soldats aux travaux publics" (INED, n° 4169). Bien complet de la belle planche gravée par Eisen de la mort qui fauche 'la sage vieillesse jouant avec l'aimable enfance & conduite doucement vers le trépas'.
