Written by the French archaeologist and diplomat René Neuville 1899-1952. He died in Jeruzalem where he was Consul-General of France. Published as Archives de l'Institut Paléontologie Humaine Mémoire 24. Stamp of a former owner Dr. Max Loehr in the top margin of the half-title otherwise unmarked. Max Loehr 1903-1988 ".was an art historian and professor of Chinese art at Harvard University from 1960 to 1974. As an authority on Chinese art Loehr published eight books and numerous articles on ancient Chinese painting". Wikipedia. The binding is quite attractive. An excellent clean copy. hardcover
