There are many photos of the specific ships which differed from each other as to the kind of "catch" which they sought. There are chapters on East Cornish Luggers and West Cornish luggers. There are East coast Luggers and Drifters.There is a chapter on the historical aspects of such fishing and ships. The d.j. is mostly there with a small chunk gone at the top of the spine and very small tears to the corners of the top board. Who knew there were ships called "nickeys " and "dandies" Even to the novice this book is well written and is full of interesting anecdotes pertaining to the sea and fishing. . First Edition. Cloth.
