Le Ier Quartier dispose de deux planches : La Cité (Rive droite) et les Iles. La page de titre mentionne sept plans d'accroissemens, vingt Plans mis en tête de chaque Quartier, un Plan général. Nous avons donc un plan supplémentaire. Le relieur n'a pas toujours respecté l'ordre d'insertion des différentes planches. La planche du Quartier de la Place Maubert est positionnée dans le deuxième tome alors que le texte qui lui correspond est dans le premier. La planche du Quartier du Luxembourg (XIXe Quartier) est positionnée après la planche du Quartier Montmartre (XXe Quartier) dans le deuxième tome. Le relieur a aussi inversé les numéros de tomaison. Pleine basane marbrée. Dos ornés, pièces de titre et de tomaison. Tranches cailloutées. Quelques légers accidents. Petits manques au dos sur le 1er volume. Un petit manque en queue sur le 2e volume. Légers accidents et charnières frottées au 2e volume.

Dos à cinq nerfs ornés de fleurons dorés. Charnières et coiffes frottées mais solide reliure qui a permis la conservation de ce bel ouvrage gravé du XVIIIe siècle.

Henry Faul was a geologist working on Enrico Fermi's team at the University of Chicago. He was responsible for prospecting uranium ore in Colorado and Utah. He received his M.S. from the University of Chicago during the war and went on to get his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. ESTC T131275.
