In Cantéyodjayâ his 12-note rhythmic sets are permutations of values from demisemiquaver one unit of time to crotchet 12 units and in another piano piece - the Mode de valeurs et d'intensités also 1949 composed entirely in the austere three-line style of the earlier work's episode - he applied a similar categorization to loudness and attack."
