On remarquera que Jacques Offenbach accompagnera la cérémonie. La liste des quêteuses est donnée, évidement que des dames de la sociétés, parmi lesquelles se trouve Mélanie Waldor. Au pied de la lettre, Waldor a ajouté deux lignes : « Monsieur, Votre aumône quelque légère qu'elle soit me trouverait bien reconnaissante. Mélanie Waldor de Villenave ».
