Il risultato della collaborazione di Claxton e Berendt fu Jazzlife, ricercatissimo dai collezionisti e ora fatto rivivere in questa nuova edizione TASCHEN. Da una costa all'altra degli Stati Uniti, dai più ignoti musicisti di strada alle leggende del jazz, questo viaggio esplora l'essenza di una delle più originali forme d'arte americane. A New Orleans, New York, St. Louis, Biloxi, Jackson, e in tanti altri luoghi, le euforiche eppure tenere immagini di Claxton e i testi di Berendt esaminano le varianti regionali del jazz tanto quanto la sua anima e la sua pervasiva vitalità.
