Ira is referencing pages 124 - 130 in the book which is a profile of the Beverly Hills house that Ira and George Gershwin leased when they moved to California from New York in 1936. From the section: “ Notable among the recruits from New York’s musical-comedy stage were George Gershwin and his talented lyricist brother Ira and another gifted lyricist a close friend of the Gershwins E.Y. ‘Yip’ Harburg.
