The set contains a true and complete reprint of Bach's Bible being a German Bible with extensive commentaries by Abraham Calovius founded on the writings of Martin Luther. This is the first complete facsimile-edition of Bach's Bible published by the Dutch publisher Uitgeverij Van Wijnen after the original being preserved in Concordia Seminary Library St. Louis. Each volume contains Bach's handwritten monogram on the title page and the set contains a total of 348 additions by Bach. Among which many underlined passages -both in red and black ink- various corrections of typographical and grammatical errors but most importantly his comments in the margins.
