Roitzsch herausgegeben), sowie die 1885 von Alfred Dörffel für die Bachgesellschaft besorgte Ausgabe. 'Breitkopf 40 Härtel, Leipzig) herangezogen. -- Da neben der Absicht, eine zuverlässige Urtext-Ausgabe herzustellen, auch der Wunsch maßgebend war, eine Ausgabe für den praktischen Gebrauch zu bieten, erschien es nötig, von den Handschriften in einigen Punkten abzuweichen, wie dies ja auch schon bei der Ausgabe der Bachgesellschaft gesdiehen ist. So sind durchweg die italienischen Instrumentenbezeichnungen, Überschriften und sonstigen Bemerkungen der früheren Ausgaben beibehalten worden.
