Kongreß 1880 II. 22 hielt Gluck jetzt Assistent von Langenbeck einen Vortrag über Neuroplastik auf dem Wege der Transplantation und demonstrierte Hühner an denen er 3-4 cm lange Defekte des Ischiadicus durch Stücke von Kaninchennerven ersetzt hatte. Obgleich nur wenige Wochen seit der Operation verstrichen waren glaubte er eine Wiederherstellung der Funktion bis zu einem gewissen Grade feststellen zu können."
