Glück was taught Greek mythology and classic stories from a young age which greatly influenced her works. After a tumultuous life and career Glück finally began seeing wider success in her work in the 1990's. <br /> <br /> "Ararat" would be released in 1990 a collection of poems driven by the immense loss Glück felt following the death of her father in 1985.
