A questo proposito, sono state prese in esame le diverse problematiche di sicurezza e igiene sul lavoro, associate all'impiego dei gas tossici, con specifici richiami alla tossicologia industriale e al monitoraggio ambientale e biologico, alla prevenzione incendi e al primo soccorso, alla protezione delle vie respiratorie, all'immissione sul mercato, al trasporto , ecc. Completano il piano dell'opera la trattazione, in forma di "safety data - sheet", delle sostanze che ricadono nel regime di "gas tossici" e alcuni riferimenti bibliografici, riportati in calce ad ogni capitolo, ai quali si rimanda per l'approfondimento dei temi svolti.
