This is a very good hardcover copy in a very good but sunned dustjacket. The jacket is white with mauve spine and right edges. The mauve parts are sunned at the top. SIGNED by Cornell Lucas in ink and dated 1988 on the half title-page under the photograph of Marlene Dietrich and the title. Not inscribed to anyone, just signed. Illustrated throughout in black & white with Cornell Lucas's photographs of film stars, both actors and directors. Each of the portraits is accompanied by a brief comment on the individual and the photo session. Uncommon. Scarce signed. 11" high X 9" wide, 125 pages. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.

Nice copy of the seventh edition. Inked ownership of Robert Bridges (1865-1930), while a student at Princeton. Robert Bridges was long a figure of note and power in the American literary world, and often confused with the British Poet Laureate of the same name. Born at Shippensburg, PA he went to Princeton, where he met his best friend through life and classmate, Woodrow Wilson. Bridges was successful as a newspaper reporter, 1880-1887, the literary critic of Life, 1883-1900, the assistant editor and editor of Scribner's Magazine, 1887-1930.
