In this blend of original and traditional Salish stories, the magical characters pass through many magical experiences and adventures. In each story the young reader travels on a journey through both nature and the supernatural, and at the end discovers one of life's lessons, just as they were once revealed to Salish children by their traditional Storyteller. Author lives in Nanaimo, B.C. where she teaches Native Studies and the Coast Salish language. The five tales which make up this book have been adapted from stories which author uses to teach her students at Nanaimo area elementary schools about Native traditions and culture.
