This is a very good softcover copy with just light wear. Completely clean inside and out. The spine is not creased, binding firm. Slight bump to lower right corner of text block. This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Art from February 19 to May 30, 2000. The exhibition then traveled to Chicago and New York. Essays by Gary Garrels, Brenda Richardson, Martin Friedman, Anne Rorimer, Andrea Miller-Keller, John S. Weber and Adam D. Weinberg. Illustrated profusely in color and black & white. Il part à Rome comme prêtre, après des études au séminaire de Montfaucon et de Saint-Sulpice. Il sera archiviste à l’Ecole vaticane. Il rejoint en 1904 le Quercy, où il est nommé prêtre à Cahors, puis à partir de 1926, il est archiviste diocésain, puis chanoine honoraire, et en 1942 chanoine titulaire. Son œuvre abondante, articles et ouvrages, concerne principalement le Quercy. Il décède en 1953 à Bretenoux.
