1977ME-103Metals Park OH.: American Society for Metals 1977. Comprehensive reference text contains two types of transformation diagrams: those developed by reducing the temperature rapidly to a predetermined value and holding it there until transformation is complete and those developed by continuously reducing the temperature through the transformation zone. The latter cooling transformation diagrams are directly applicable to the heat treatment of steels. The former isothermal transformation diagrams are much easier to produce and contain close approximations for heat treatment procedures. 422 pgs. Illustrated.
