18981685131898. TSUKIJI TYPE FOUNDRY. Specimens of Printing Borders and Ornaments etc. Made at The Tokyo Tsukiji Type Foundry. 146 pp each with copperplate printed 'Types of Cuts' Large 8vo. 252 x 168 mm bound in original printed wrappers. In a new chitsu case. Tokyo: Nomura Sojuro. 1898. A fascinating apparently unrecorded Japanese type specimen book. The Tsukiji Type Foundry seem to have been active printing books in Western languages from 1891 to 1919. There is some wear and damage to the lower outer corner of the first few pages. However overall a clean and respectable copy of a rare and attractive book. unknown books
