16mo., Second Edition, text in French, with an engraved frontispiece, and engraved and printed titles, mid-nineteenth century inscription on front free endpaper; attractively bound in contemporary brown patterned cloth, very neatly rebacked, old backstrip laid down, all edges gilt, yellow endpapers, a very good, bright, clean copy. Collects the four pieces 'La Chaumiere Indienne', 'Le Café de Surate', 'Voyage en Silisie', and 'Immensite de la Nature'. The engraved title bears a fine portrait of the author engraved by Scriven after Girodet. The two early London editions are extremely scarce, especially in this condition.
