Presents three simultaneous one-man exhibitions of Cuevas' works displayed at Schweyer-Galdo, Meeting Point and Tasende Galleries. These exhibitions were "conceived with the purpose of presenting as complete an image as possible of the artist's inquietude and of his iconography, in cities where he was not well known. The exhibition at Schweyer-Galdo Galleries in Birmingham, Michigan, shows Cuevas' oeuvre from 1965 to the present. It gives an idea of the artist's trajectory during fifteen years of fertile production, and summarizes, without simplifications, the images and human miseries which obsess Cuevas. Most of the works in this retrospective show are part of a collection selected by the artist and previously exhibitied in museums thoughout the United States, South America and Europe for the past four years. The exhibitions in Coral Gables and La Jolla comprise some of Cuevas' latest works, created during his many sojourns in Europe. Cuevas and I have selected these works together." - Jose M. Tasende.
