Boards with a triple panel design with corner tools and another triangular tool placed centrally on all four sides. Marbled endpapers all edges gilt. Some rubbing on edges and corners and spine ends chipped. A very good copy. Armorial bookplate of Bryan Hall with his note of purchase from Scottow Hall Norfolk. Early pencil note on front endpaper reads ' This Prayer Book was bequeathed to me by my dear Aunt Mrs. S. Custance.' This lady must be either Susannah Custance wife of Hambleton Custance of Weston Longville or her daughter Susannah sister of John Custance of Weston the 'Squire Custance' of Rev. All edges gilt but long since worn down. Previous owner's singature 1758 and few stamps of another owner.
