Hypatia (ca: 360-415), was a Greek scholar from Alexandria, Egypt, considered the first notable woman in the history of mathematics. She taught philosophy and astronomy. She lived in Roman Egypt, and was killed by a Christian mob who accused her of causing religious turmoil. Jack Johnson was the first black heavyweight champion, was a world traveller, a music hall performer, a prisoner at Leavenworth, a matador in the bullrings of Spain, a speed demon, a connoisseur of the arts and women, and a Renaissance man at the turn of the 20th Century. He held the title for seven years against the widespread popular demand for a new "white hope"..
