I asked the postmaster and his answer was that white people would not stand for buying stamps from Negroes" Grigsby recalled. 200531181New York: Self-published circa 2005. A fine copy save for minor scuffing to the self-wrappers composed with a stunning cover design. Scarce with no OCLC records located. First Edition. Octavo. Hand-numbered in black marker to rear cover 21/25. An early example of Dash Snow's neo-Dada aesthetic; perhaps most effective when he approached the photocopy bed as his canvas cf. Zine Masters of the Universe. With Broken Bottle! Broken Dreams! Snow collages the libertine Polaroids through which he chronicled the Downtown scene with underworld imagery from 20th century pulps and sensational press clippings of John Wayne Gacy the Menendez Brothers and Rod Ferrell's 1990s vampire cult. All of these elements richly layered with vertiginous graphical elements. A low-fi concert of turn-of-the-century decadence. Contents: 36 color xerox pages; stapled unlike his more perishable elastic band bindings. New York: Self-published unknown
