In her Prefatory Note she acknowledges her major source work W. Beamont's "A History of the House of Lyme" as well as crediting Brasenose College Oxford St John's College Cambridge the Dean of Manchester and others for their help in researching the history. It is a fascinating and detailed book full of interest and profusely illustrated with a family tree folded at the back along with a folding map of Lancashire. The purpose for the convention was to rewrite the US Constitution to ensure equal rights for oppressed groups including African Americans women and young people.
