19731916West Germany: Oberkochen/Wurtt 1973. Paperback. Good. Text in English and German. Thin oblong paperback just shy of folio size. 1973 presumed first edition with no additional printings listed. A fair to good copy - with heavy wear at the edges - a large floppy publication so it has taken a bit of a beating around the edges including chips minor bending and corner bumps. Light soiling to the white rear cover and scuffing to the black front cover with a brilliant photo of a crater gracing the cover. Interior is full of full page color and black and white plates of Zeiss' space photography. 78 pp. with photos from Zeiss for NASA and descriptive text alternating in German and English. A unique and amazing book in a truly awkward binding and format. Scarce in any condition. <br/><br/> Oberkochen/Wurtt paperback

1933028580Hollywood CA: Hollywood Print Shop 1933. Octavo. 203 pages. Inscribed to Monte Montague who before his long career as Hollywood Cowboy worked as a ten year old boy he began working in a circus and over the years he became a clown acrobat and tumbler. When the author writes that he is just a "joey" circus slang for "a clown" it is something Monte Montague could relate to. p. 193-197 lists over 500 terms the author calls "the Language of the Lots" which include those akin to those who skirt the law and the "in language" of those who work day-to-day in the circuses ranging from the smaller venues to those of Barnum and Bailey. One of the most informative on the days of the circus from the late 1880's to the early 1930's. The author became the manager of the Masonic office in Hollywood and was President of "The Saints and Sinners" club for circus performers. Hollywood Print Shop unknown
