Modernity is clearly visible in Bursa during the last century. What is observed in Bursa is a transformation starting the 20th century with a new vision and point of view. Whole of moulds shaped within the frame of this transformation will multiply in variety reflecting on the traditional; and, the urban bourgeoisie and intelligentsia will form step by step.

En su juventud había escrito una curiosa utopía victoriana titulada "The Fate of the English Race.
