From an on-line posting: "Tel Aviv 1932 read history and political science in his native town and in Jerusalem. Apart from some ten collections of poems he published children's books essays and literary interviews. He also translates from English and for thirty years he was a member of the editorial staff of Maariv a leading Israel daily. He is known as well from radio and television for his contributions on literature and his comments on other topics. In London he has been both cultural attaché and journalist and in Washington's American University he was Writer-in-Residence. Moshe Dor was one of the founders and editors of Likrat the forum of a new generation of authors which caused something of a revolution in poetry. His very first collection Broshim Levanim White cypresses 1954 spearheaded these young poets who favoured the application of a new more spontaneous Hebrew. His sensual brightly coloured style is reminiscent of the work of Abraham Shlonsky one of the great Hebrew poets of the first half of this century. The flush of a new lifestyle the recently acquired independence the intoxication of the Israel landscapes with its bright colours smells and sensual titillations all came together in Moshe Dor's poems and gave his nation's poetry a new incentive. His poetry has evolved over the years. The enthousiasm the pathos and extreme figurativeness have gradually been replaced by a new elegic-lyrical-existential sound. The Israel me has opened up to the wide world around has surrendered to another romantic setting. Moshe Dor's initial attitude hasn't disappeared altogether but it has been toned down and it has been enriched by the scepticism of a writer who gradually shifted from the Song of Songs to Ecclesiastes." Normale Gebrauchsspuren insgesamt gut erhalten. Das Konvolut enthält folgende Texte: Erinnerungen eines Lebemannes 2. und 3. Teil gebunden 2 Bände je ca. 300 S. mit montierten Fotos / Kühne Liebe. Eine wahre Erzählung einer Tochter einer Fürstin und Zigeuners. Zweiter Band gebunden 32 S. in zwei Exemplaren / Madame Evs' Schule. Band 2 gebunden ca. 200 S. mit montierten Fotos / Die Philantropin. II. Band gebunden 63 S. / Albert Pawil: Die Lasterbrücke oder die nackte Frau in Ost und West. 2. Band gebunden 109 S. / John Pain: Schloss Minnebirk. Erotisch-sadistische Erzählung. 2. Band gebunden 106 S. / Unbetitelter Typoskriptdruck Band II und IV. Kapitelüberschriften: "Komtess Ilse" und "Elfriede" gebunden 2 Bände je ca. 40 S. / Die Ballade von der Frau Agnes lose Blätter ca. 20 S. / Jungfer Donna Blanca und ihr Ritter u.a. geheftet 4 Blatt / Vera lose Blätter ca. 40 S. / Die Erlebnisse einer 17jährigen Pariserin u.a. lose Blätter ca. 10 S. Die Texte stammen aus dem Nachlaß eines Sammlers aus einer Hand. Sie liegen sämtlich als Typoskriptdruck Privatdrucke vor. Die Texte reichen wohl von den 1920er Jahren bis in die 1960er Jahre. In einigen Bänden wurden zahlreiche einschlägige Fotografien montiert siehe obige Hinweise. Vorhanden ist darüber hinaus ein handschriftliches Manuskript ähnlichen Inhalts von 12 Seiten Umfang. Es liegen weiterhin einzelne gedruckte Publikationen vor wie etwa "Muscle Man in Silks. A Story of Transvetism" diese werden beigegeben. Die Sammlung enthält zudem zwei Alben mit zahlreichen erotisch-sadistischen Darstellungen. Eine letzte Komponente des Konvoluts besteht aus insgesamt vier beigegebenen 8mm-Filmrollen welche jeweils mit einer Fotografie beklebt wurden. Diese tragen die Titel: "Tempter with Movies" "Nightspot" "Hotel" "Pussy Club". Erotika-Konvolut aus einer wohl aus den Nachkriegsjahrzehnten stammenden Sammlung! unknown
