This work originally published in 1600 in Venice under the title De curandis juxta hodiernum usum. sought to find accurate cures for diseases and improve medical practice. This volume with its ample 18th-century inscriptions and some scattered annotations above printed marginalia gives the book a valued sense. Good solid book within the tradition of 17th-century medicine coming out of Italy during the waning of the Renaissance Polverinos ideas were contemporary to Galileo and Descartes.
