Hardcover with unclipped dust jacket. This is one of an extensive collection of hundreds of VERY GOOD, DUSTJACKETED titles from the Scientific Book Club series. In many cases the artwork has outlived the science, but these were collected by a prominent scientific author and journalist. This particular copy has jacket design by Leslie Ward. Jacket is shelf and edgeworn, lightly tanned on inside. Orange cloth boards bumped at lower leading corners; page block and endpapers lightly foxed.
