Towle was one of the "inventors living in the Town of Dixfield during its early history."<br /> Towle offers a little rhyme to sell his invention: "One cent a day will kill the cold / In comfort pay a hundred fold; / 'Twill keep you warm-- prevent the chills / And save from paying Doctor's bills! . . .
