ABOUT THE BOOKThe Indian economy has been through something of a roller-coaster ride since 2004. There was a period of boom in 2004. Then came the global crisis, a sharp deceleration in India’s growth rate and a waning of confidence about India’s economic prospects both at home and abroad.This collection of articles, written for The Economic Times and the Economic and Political Weekly, provides an intelligent – and often off-beat- analysis of events in the Indian economy as well as the world economy over the period 2004-2012.As the financial sector has been at the heart of the crisis, the Indian banking sector as well as international banking come in for close scrutiny. About The Author:- T T Ram Mohan, professor of finance and economics at IIM Ahmedabad, graduated from IIT Bombay and IIM Calcutta, and obtained his doctorate from the Stern School of Business, New York University. He worked in consultancy and the financial sector before entering academics.Prof Ram Mohan has been New York Correspondent for The Economic Times and, for the past 15 years, has been writing a fortnightly column for the paper. Prof Ram Mohan specialises in the financial sector and the subject of privatisation. Außerdem finden sich 8 weitere Texte mit Jahres- oder Hintergrundberichten zur Schemnitzer Akademie, sowie zu den Lehranstalten in Leoben und P?íbram (Freiberg in Böhmen, heute Tschechische Republik). – Illustration: 10 der 11 dem Text des Jahrbuchs nachgebundenen großformatigen Tafeln (wovon Taf. I dar, eine ebenfalls in Zinkografie wiedergegebene, von Paul Balás gezeichnete und kolorierte „Uebersichtskarte sämmtlicher Gruben-Complexe des Schemnitzer Bergbezirkes...“ (66:50 cm), die auch Maßstabsangaben und einen Längsschnitt des gesamten Gruben- und Stollensystems enthält. – Erhaltung: Papier durchgehend, jedoch meist nur leicht stockfleckig, großteils unaufgeschnitten. – Seltenheit: Die frühen Jahrgänge des Jahrbuchs werden selten angeboten, im originalen Schutzumschlag, wie das hier angebotene Exemplar, sind sie kaum zu finden.
