Prima ed unica rara edizione di questo scritto del noto medico veronese, Sebastiano Rotari (1667-1742) celebre per i suoi scritti polemici contro l'utilizzo del salasso per la cura dei malati e fautori dell'introduzione del mercurio per la cura di numerosissime malattie. In questo scritto il medico veronese, studia ed analizza le cause di due uomini morti a Villafranca in un "Tino" mentre stavano lavorando dell'uva. Esemplare in buone condizioni di conservazione.

In the last period of the Ottoman Empire, at the beginning of the 20th century, the Western Anatolian grapes and their wines were already famous and known to the western world. During this period, within the nationalization efforts of the Ottoman economy, a small number of guides were prepared for the national wine-producers. This treatise is one of them prepared by Düyun-u [Düyûn-i Umûmiye-i Osmaniye Varidât-i Muhassasa Idare-i Merkeziye.; i.e. 'Ottoman Foreign Debt Supervision Agency']. Düyûn-u Umûmiye was an institution that supervised the external debts of the Ottoman Empire between the years of 1881 and 1939. It was hoped that incentives like these would be provided national income in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. AH 1327 = AD 1911. First Edition in 1910 [AH 1326]. This is Second Edition. Acquaforte misure: mm 67 x 42 Pittore e scultore figlio del pittore Giuseppe e fratello di Ubaldo anch'egli pittore. Si formò all'Accademia Clementina di Bologna dove ebbe maestri come Felice Torelli, scultore ed anatomista, e Ercole Lelli. Si distinse subito tra gli altri accademici vincendo ripetutamente con raffinati rilievi il Premio Marsili e con nudi d’accademia il Premio Fiori. Intorno agli anni '50 si possono far risalire le sue prime opere pittoriche. Significativa è stata l'amicizia con il mercante Antonio Buratti il quale lo coinvolse nell'impresa di riprodurre in incisione gli affreschi di Pellegrino Tibaldi e di Nicolò dell’Abate a Palazzo Poggi. Sollecitato da questa prima commissione Gaetano eseguirà altri disegni riproducenti i più significativi dipinti delle chiese di Bologna meritandosi un viaggio-premio a Venezia (1760) che gli permise di conoscere dal vivo la pittura di quella città, da Tiziano ai Tiepolo. La produzione artistica si divide tra una religiosità equilibrata e la scherzosa pittura profana dove i soggetti mitologici si alternano a temi desunti dai grandi scrittori classici. La figura dell'infante Bacco, un bambino, nudo e paffuto è seduto a cavalcioni su una botte dalla cui base sgorga del vino. Capelli riccioli incorniciano il giovane volto, un filo di edera avvolge il suo corpo, lo sguardo è rivolto come in un brindisi silenzioso al calice alzato nella mano destra, nella sinistra afferra il tirso. La luce intensa che proviene da sinistra evidenzia ogni minimo dettaglio. Lo sfondo è scuro a sinistra e chiaro a destra, reso con un fitto corto tratteggio parallelo, leggermente mosso, da un senso di vitalità e concretezza alla composizione allegorica. In-12, pp. 200, perfetto cartonato coevo. Seconda edizione che segue l'edizione originale del 1788. Celebre rassegna delle qualità dei diversi vitigni e delle pratiche di vinificazione. In passato l'autore è stato confuso con il protagonista della prima ascensione al Monte Bianco. Non comune, ottimo esemplare in barbe. . manca a Bing e a Simon.
